There was a recent security breach at the website of Paris-based online ticketing company See Tickets. There is a possibility that hackers accessed the sensitive information of the customers between June 2019 and January 2022.
After the incident, See Tickets sent an email to their users. In the Email, they said that hackers may have access to the information; they entered it during checkout.
They can access the following information about the people who purchased the tickets for the online events from them.
- Names
- Physical Address
- Credit/Debit card number
- Card expiry date
- CVV number
They mentioned in the email that they are investigating the matter with different law firms. But, they have not yet found evidence of misuse of customer data.
Be aware of suspicious activities
After this incident, a statement from See Tickets said it has taken extra precautions to protect its systems in the wake of this incident.
“We have taken steps to deploy extra safeguards onto our systems, including by further strengthening our security monitoring, authentication, and coding,” the company said.
The company has also asked its customers to be aware of suspicious activities. If they find anything unusual, they should immediately report it to the respective authorities.

Carding attack
Despite the fact that See Tickets did not disclose how the threat actor hacked its systems. But it appears to be a magecart attack. It is possible that hackers add malicious lines of code and access the payment information from the checkout page.
The company noticed this suspicious activity on its systems in April 2021 and hired a forensics firm to investigate. The company finally stopped this attack in January 2022.
